In 2026, Harmony House Shelter will be marking a significant milestone — 40 years of providing a safe place for women and their children fleeing violence and abuse.

We are inviting all enthusiastic artists and designers (amateur and professional) to design a logo that represents our mission of empowering and supporting women and children to live their lives free from violence by providing transitional housing and programs that help them realize their full potential.

 We are seeking a logo that reflects our ongoing commitment to breaking the cycle of abuse and rebuilding lives. While we acknowledge this milestone, we remain focused on the work ahead, avoiding any celebratory imagery or wording.

The selected logo will be used in all anniversary-related materials, including awareness campaigns, social media, community initiatives, and fundraising efforts.

Harmony House Shelter 40th Anniversary 
Logo Contest Criteria

  • Open to individuals 18 years and older.
  • Both amateur and professional designers are welcome to participate.
  • Submissions must be original and not infringe on any copyright laws.
  • The original Harmony House logo cannot be modified in any way. The contest is for a separate anniversary logo that complements but does not alter the official Harmony House branding.

Theme Alignment:

  • The logo should reflect the Harmony House commitment of empowerment, hope, and support for women and children overcoming domestic violence.
  • It should also acknowledge the 40-year milestone as a reflection of ongoing resilience and advocacy, rather than a celebration, avoiding any celebratory imagery or wording.
  • Hex Colours are purple in #64338A and blue in #37AED9.
  • The logo should be clear, scalable, and effective in various sizes and formats (print, digital, merchandise).
  • Typography: Readable and professional font choices are preferred.
  • File Format: Submit designs in high-resolution PNG, JPG, and vector format (AI, EPS, or SVG) in colour and in black and white.

Submissions will be evaluated based on:

  • Creativity & Originality (30%) – Unique and innovative design.
  • Relevance to the Theme (30%) – How well the logo captures the essence of 40 years of empowerment.
  • Aesthetic Appeal (20%) – Visual impact and professional quality.
  • Versatility & Scalability (20%) – Ability to use different media and formats.

All entries must be submitted by (DATE) August 31, 2025

Entries should be sent to info@HarmonyHouseWS.com with the subject line: “40th Anniversary Logo Contest Submission.”

  • Cash prizes will be awarded as follows: $500 for first place, $250 for second place, and $100 for third place.
  • The top three designs will be featured in a community showcase highlighting the creative contributions.

By submitting an entry, participants agree to transfer full ownership rights of the winning logo to Harmony House Shelter for exclusive use.

Harmony House reserves the right to modify the winning design if necessary.

The decision of the judging panel is final.
