Johanna

The power of our outreach team, collaboration and community!

We are thrilled to finish our summer stories with Johanna’s journey!

Johanna was a young woman struggling to find her way in the workforce, lacking experience and direction. After 2 years at the shelter, transitioning to independent living, Harmony House’s Outreach advocate met with Johanna to identify her needs and learn how we could help her move forward.

With limited experience and direction, she faced significant barriers to employment. However, with the help of Harmony House’s Outreach team and partner organizations, Johanna was able to gain the tools and resources needed to succeed. She attended a job training program, received tailored career advice from a dedicated coach, and connected with local mentors who provided invaluable guidance. As a

result of this collaboration, Johanna secured a job as an administrative assistant and continues to thrive in her role.

Johanna’s story highlights how collaboration and community can make a profound impact on the lives of women fleeing violence. Johanna was just one of many young people struggling to find their footing in the workforce.

This success story serves as a reminder that by working together, we can help individuals overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.

Johanna’s story is a testament to the power of our outreach team, collaboration and community!
