Domestic violence and coercive control is when one person in a relationship uses a type of psychological abuse, and a pattern of behavior to control and cause fear in the other person in the relationship. Here’s how to recognize it:

I came to Harmony House when my daughter was very young. We had nothing and no support so were thankful to have food bank donations, diaper donations, and many other items that we desperately needed. I had to become very creative with my cooking and how to save money. It’s because of all this support that I was able to give my daughter a better life. Today she is in her 2nd year at Queens University on a scholarship. I thank Harmony House for that!
